Watching as on the first day, when the world is still new. That's watching for me. Looking is questioning things, opening our eyes again. When we look like this, we see something different than we already think we know.
With my camera I take the freedom to look at the world differently.
I don't want to accept reality as fixed. In looking, I also want to free myself from the hierarchy that we are used to creating between people and their environment.
A person, including myself, an animal and a thing are on the same level for me. My head is no more important than a parakeet.

To ask the question about the essence of things, I use light. For me, light is a way to change something. That's what I want: to put things in a different light.
The light is a means of becoming aware of the world. The light gains power from creation, new energy.
What would the world be like if a different light shined on it?
If I want to look at the world with fresh eyes, what does that mean? In any case, I will have to leave what I know behind me.
If we really want to see, we must subordinate knowing to seeing.
Then the questions become important.
What is what? Is a cone of ice cream on the asphalt still something we long for? Or has it become something else?
Who am I ? What happens to me in the viewer's perception when I manifest myself in different forms ? Where am I in the world?
How do I attend? And above all: what is the world like, what is the world?
